Good times were had at the Salem Elementary Fall Family Festival, while students and families enjoyed music , dancing, bounce houses, yummy food, and fun friends. The classroon basket auction was a huge success, raising around $5,000, which will be used to help provide the school with new technology. The PTO and Salem Elementary appreciates all those that bid generously on the baskets and those that donated items to fill them. A special thanks to Esplin Eye Center for sponsoring the bounce house and slide, WiseGuys Pizza for providing the yummy food, and of course our awesome PTO!!!
A brand new scooter and helmet was awarded to Kenny Golding, a second grader at Salem Elementary, for participating in the Walk More in Four challenge. After completing the challenge, Kenny's name was entered into a statewide drawing for the prize, and then randomly selected as one of only a few winners.
The UDOT Student Neighborhood Access Program (SNAP)™ team invited students to start the school year on the right foot by participating in their annual statewide walking and biking challenge, Walk More in Four.
On Monday, October 7, 2013, the Daughters of Utah Pioneer volunteers welcomed Salem Elementary second-graders to Heritage Park, located on the north-west end of Salem Pond.
In second-grade, students learn and examine important aspects of their community and how their community has changed over time.
