Second Grade Farm Field Day

Attributions: 

The 2nd graders took a field trip to Harward Farms to Farm Field Days.  At farm field days we learned all about farm animals, bees, soil, wool, and even met Terry the talking tomatoe.  It was a day full of learning and fun.

Salem Elementary Employees made sure to turn off all energy-using items during Spring Break, qualifying us to receive incentive money for our school! 

Salem Elementary School is proud to be more energy effecient than 75% of similar buildings nationwide.

Spirit Week in Kindergarten

Crazy socks, crazy hair, PJs & Sports.....it was a fun Spirit Week in Kindergarten.
We have been investigating shells, sorting shells, doing shell rubbings and writing about shells as we learn more about oceans.

Miss Salem Contestant Shares a Message

Attributions: 

Taiza Savage, a 2018 Miss Salem contestant, visited Salem Elementary to share a message with first and fourth graders.  She focused on anti bullying and self confidence with the goal of having students empowered and confident with who they are.  It was a good reminder to students to be kind to one another.
