Salem Elementary's Night at the Museum

Salem Elementary's annual 5th grade historical wax museum took on a new twist this year as security guards (fifty grade teachers Cary Abegg, Bob Stutz, and Chris Vest) donned security uniforms and carrying flashlights announced that dusk had fallen and all the historical figures came to life on the night of November 19th.  The students arose to the task with great costuming, backdrops, props and memorizd blurbs and gave the community and patrons of the school exciting biographical accounts of their lives.

Kool Kids for November 2009

Kool Kids from Salem Elementary are chosen each month for demonstrating exemplary acts of kindness.  These students have gone out of their way to serve their classmates and teachers.  They have proved themselves to be hard working and dedicated students.

Red Ribbon Week

Red ribbon week is a national wide event that takes place in public schools to promote a drug and alcohol free life style.  To celebrate red ribbon week the students and staff at Salem Elementary participated in multiple events throughout the week including, a foot race and fashion show.  These events were accompanied by various dress-up days, such as pajama day, sport day, crazy clash day, all red day, and blue day.  A major highlight of the week was when the students got to watch a life flight helicopter land on the school gro
