Kindergarten learned more about summer through movement, math, art, and a science experiment. We observed if a popsicle melted faster in the sun or shade, marched in a parade, sorted bugs, and created marble art. Kindergarten rocks!
Our kindergarten class has been so busy learning a lot of new things! Look how cute these students look with their butterfly masks.
We have the opportunity for the next couple of weeks to have students from BYU come visit our school. They are teaching our students new and exciting games to play during P.E. Just look at how much fun they are having! We are lucky to have BYU come and help our school.
We had the most amazing assembly yesterday! BYU came to teach us how to be Cougar Strong! We learned how to be mentally strong, physically strong, technology strong, and socially strong. Along with learning how to be Cougar Strong, we got to watch some pretty incredible dunk skills. Thank you BYU for taking the time to visit our school! Our students loved it!
Mrs. Walker's fourth grade class had a great time in our STEAM room. They were busy understanding different ways energy is transferred. When they got back to class, they did a shared writing experience. Together the class came up with the following ideas...

Mrs. Hooley's class practiced their subtraction strategies by playing subtraction bowling. Each student had a recording sheet where they subtracted the number of pins they knocked down from 10. A fun time was had by all!
This week our mystery faculty member was Mrs. Taylor! We had so much fun learning about her. Maybe one day we can convince her to show us her baton twirling skills! When you see Mrs. Taylor around, make sure to tell her how much we appreciate her hard work.
We loved getting to know our new custodian Mr. Johnson. If you see him around the school, ask him about racing pigeons. What a fun hobby to have! We are so excited Mr. Johnson is apart of our school this year. He is making our school and the grounds look amazing.
