Salem Elementary has two students from each 6th grade class that is part of the the Student Council. Salem Elementary also has a Star Squad of 6th graders to help carry out Student Council responsibilities. We look forward to a fun year. Mrs. Strueper will be their advisor. On October 9th the Student Council and Star Squad are invited to attend a Student Leadership Conference at BYU.

Today kindergarten celebrated summer. We sorted plastic bugs, created marble art, played musical instruments in a parade, and roasted marshmallows. Then we had a picnic with our family! Hooray for summer.
In kindergarten this week we learned about the life cycle of a butterfly. Then ‘poof’ we turned into butterflies. Kindergarten is magic!
Kindergartners read a story about super kids this week. They acted it out, retold the story with stick puppets, and made superhero capes to finish the week!
