Most of you may not know it, but every January, Salem Elementary holds a faculty ping pong tournament. Most would be surprised to know of the table tennis talent we have within our faculty, and it gets pretty competitive as you can imagine.  After battling it out with single elimination, our winning team this year is Mr. Hansen and Mrs. Nybo.  Congratulations!

Kinder Trees

We all look forward to the holidays, and before we know it they are here and then gone!  Here is a look when our hallways and classrooms were filled with hoilday cheer.  Mrs. Bangerters class making Holiday Tree Treats. The kids had a blast decorating and eating their candies.

Things have settled down, and although our classrooms are no longer filled with holiday cheer, they are still filled with a delightsome bunch of kiddos learning and teachers working hard to do our best in this new year!

"The best way to bring Christmas cheer is ringing loud for all to hear" is the motto of a sweet grandmother of some of our Salem Students.  She, along with her friends, Mrs. Clause and Rudolph, visited her granddaughters' classrooms to spread Christmas cheer with music and handbells.  Students had a delightful time!

Christmas Recorders

It is a well known fact at Salem Elementary that when you enter the fifth-grade you will get to learn to play the recorder.  It is something that every student anticipates, for they have had the privilege of watching the fifth-graders perform Christmas songs on their recorders each year.
