Right before the Thanksgiving break, our third graders spent a day at Hogwarts. They first got sorted into their houses and made matching ties with their house mates. Throughout the day they made Gringotts Wizarding Bank, went to potions class, and compare and contrasted the book to the movie. What a fun way to spend a day in third grade! Our teachers do amazing things with our students in this school! Harry Potter day is the best day to look forward to when becoming a third grader!
Our fourth graders have been busy making and creating amazing science experiments. Last week they made solar updraft towers. They noticed that when cool air goes in, it pushes the hot air up making the propellers move! The things these 4th graders are learning are amazing!
Our first graders are so lucky! Each week they get to have a fifth grade buddy come and read to them!
Our 5th grade students were so lucky this week! They got a special visit from the high school! They were able to enjoy and learn about what band classes might look like! Thank you Salem Hills High!
Our kindergarteners have been busy lately! They have gone in the gym to march around different alphabet letters. They also got help from our amazing Nebo District Art Specialst, Christine Brown, she helped kindergarten students build beautiful masterpieces. She taught students to tap into their creative side and design artwork with leaves, shape robots, and an ocean mural. Our kindergarteners are doing amazing things!
