A Long Walk to Water
At a recent assembly, students learned more about empathy as they took a virtual trip to Africa and walked in the shoes of another child named Thomas. They were surprised and excited to learn that they can help a child their age receive a simple, lifesaving gift…clean water.
Storyteller Visits Salem Elementary
The Utah State Office of Education's POP Art Education and the Timpanogos Story Telling Institue provided a storytelling assembly for students and faculty at Salem Elementary. Dovie Thomason shared stories from her Kiowa Apache heritage as well as personal stories from her childhood. She comes from a long line of Native and European storytellers.
