During School Lunch week, Salem Elementary students were able to share the goodness of school lunch with their families! Thank you for all those who came, and especially thanks to our lunch ladies who work very hard to prepare lunch for our students each and every day.
Red Ribbon Week is a nation wide event that takes place in public schools to promote a drug and alcohol free life style. To celebrate Red Ribbon Week the students and staff at Salem Elementary participated in multiple events throughout the week including, a foot race and fashion show. These events were accompanied by various dress-up days, such as all red day, silly sock day, and school spirit day.

All are invited to the #savethekids free Parent Education Night sponsored by Nebo School District on November 5, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Springville High auditorium at 1205 East 900 South in Springville, Utah.
Collin Kartchner and Dr. Katey McPherson will lead a discussion on:
- Balancing screen time and device use,
- Protecting and cultivating our children's self worth,
- Devising a sensible famil use of device plan.
Salem Elementary is having a schoolwide fundraiser to raise money for student Chromebooks, iPads, headphones, and Chromebook charging stations. We will be selling gourmet popcorn from Popcornopolis from October 22nd - November 2nd. Order forms and information will be sent home with students on Monday, October 22nd. Kindergarteners visited Salem City Fire Station to learn about fire safety and how EMT's help us when we're injured.
To kick off Red Ribbon Week at Salem Elementary, students came to school wearing red and ready to pledge to stay drug free.
Mrs. Larson's fourth grade class loves Firdays when they get to help their kindergarten buddies read and write!
