Val-O-Grams will be going on February 12th-14th. Please be sure to come to school early so that you have enough time to buy, fill out, and sort your Val-O-Grams before school starts. PTA helpers will be there to help students fill out the Val-O-Grams more quickly. Parents are also welcome to come and help their child.
Star Cards are given to students who are caught doing great things around our school. These Salem Stars really shine: Will Lyman, Kevin Mayo, Andrea Johnson, Kaitlyn Mitchell, Clay Lyman, Kimball Wilde, Karly Slaugh, Koula Hughes.
We want to recognize and thank all our Star Students of the Month for making our school better with their positive attitude!
Salem Elementary recently held its 7th annual Rubik's Cube Championship. This winner this year is Derek Rolfe! Congrats to Derek and a big thanks to Mr. Stutz for putting this on.
Salem Elementary's Christmas Assembly is a fun tradition that is always much anticipated by all students. Students sing Christmas songs as a grade level, and the fifth graders play their recorders. This year we had a special surprise dance, "What Does the Reindeer Say," by the sixth graders.
The assembly is also a time to reward students for their reading. Students receive tickets throughout the year for their reading. Their tickets are entered into a drawing. During the assembly names are drawn for prizes.
