Kool Kids from Salem Elementary are chosen each month for demonstrating exemplary acts of kindness.  These students have gone out of their way to serve their classmates and teachers.  They have proved themselves to be hard working and dedicated students.

Red Ribbon Week

Red ribbon week is a national wide event that takes place in public schools to promote a drug and alcohol free life style.  To celebrate red ribbon week the students and staff at Salem Elementary participated in multiple events throughout the week including, a foot race and fashion show.  These events were accompanied by various dress-up days, such as pajama day, sport day, crazy clash day, all red day, and blue day.  A major highlight of the week was when the students got to watch a life flight helicopter land on the school gro

Halloween Gets A Facelift!

Halloween got a facelift this year in Miss Anderson's first grade class at Salem Elementary. In an effort to earn a Gold Medal from the Utah Gold Medal Schools Program, treats and sweets have been eliminated from classrooms this year. The Gold Medal Schools Program promotes healthy living through exercise and healthy eating. Instead of sugary treats, students got to make funny faces using fruits like apples, oranges, raisins, kiwi, strawberries, and grapes. The first grade ghosts and ghouls enjoyed and drooled over these healthy, tasty treats. Thank you Mrs.
