This year the Salem City library is throwing a Teddy Bear Picnic to celebrate Bring Your Child to the Library Day. They will have an animal show and a professional photographer doing a photo booth with your favorite stuffed animals. There will also be a contest. art projects, crafts, games, treats and so much more. Grab your favorite teddy (or any stuffed animal is welcome) and come party at the Li-BEAR-y.

Can you believe it is already January 2022?! We have some amazing things going on out our school! Please take a look at our monthly newsletter. Our 3-5 grade students have a great opportunity to join our school choir. Please make sure you have your student turn in their permission slips by tomorrow! If you did not receive one, please contact the front office and we can get one sent home with your student.
We had the chance yesterday to award two very deserving individuals with the Crystal Apple award! Mrs. Houghton and Mrs. Hooley both work so hard to provide the best education possible to their students. Not only are they amazing teachers, but they make Salem Elementary a warm and welcoming environment for everyone. They were surprised with with so many families members there to support them! It made for a great day! We are so happy they are apart of our school!
5th graders were able to learn more about Matter in the Ecosystem from an owl pellet dissection.
Our 4th graders have been busy since getting back from Christmas break. They are working really hard on learning some dance moves! Mr. Condie and Mrs. Smith are doing a great job directing their students!
