Christmas Bells Are Ringing

"The best way to bring Christmas cheer is ringing loud for all to hear" is the motto of a sweet grandmother of some of our Salem Students.  She, along with her friends, Mrs. Clause and Rudolph, visited her granddaughters' classrooms to spread Christmas cheer with music and handbells.  Students had a delightful time!

It is a well known fact at Salem Elementary that when you enter the fifth-grade you will get to learn to play the recorder.  It is something that every student anticipates, for they have had the privilege of watching the fifth-graders perform Christmas songs on their recorders each year.

A Christmas Carol

All the hard work finally paid off when Mr. Hansen's sixth-graders performed A Christmas Carol.  Students had been working for months to memorize and perfect each of their parts.  There were days when they even sacrificed some of their P.E. time to practice the play.  By the time the big day rolled around, they were well prepared to entertain us all!

Just a reminder that there will be a performance at 6:00 tonight for parents..
