On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving Break, Salem Elementary second-graders learned more about the daily life of our Pilgrims and Native Americans.   Students ground corn to use in cornbread, made butter with an old butter churn, and then enjoyed the two together as a tasty treat.  They made bracelets from wool and headbands with feathers.  They sewed pouches and made candles.  Students learned how to weave.  It was a fun filled day with lots of hands on learning, not to mention, a great way to celebrate the upcoming holiday!
