Library Time!
Salem Elementary's kindergarteners took a walking field trip to the Salem Public Library! They enjoyed hearing stories like "Bats at the Library" and "Frank was a Monster who wanted to Dance."
Family Fun Night/Auction
A huge THANK YOU goes out to all who helped with the Family Fun Night/Auction! We would especially like to thank Esplin Eye Center for their generous donation of the bounce house. Moving Through Utah
Fourth-grade teachers, along side Nebo School District's Dance Specialist Melanie Fillmore, used dance and movement to introduced the three regions of Utah: Rocky Mountain, Great Basin, and Colorado Plateau.
Subtraction Bowling
Strike, Spare, Gutter ball! Mrs. Hooley's second-graders went subtraction bowling. Each player rolled the ball at cups and knocked down as many as they could. Then they subtracted the number knocked down from 10. A great time was had by all!

Salem Elementary is Seeking Out Substitute Teachers
When teachers take off, students still need to learn! That's why our school, already short on substitute teachers, is looking to increase our pool of reliable subs.
Second-Grade Learns of Salems Past
Mrs. James' class enjoyed learning about some interesting heritage of our beautiful Salem City! Thank you to the Utah Daughter's of Pioneers that showed us around the historical cabin, and monuments surrounding it! We love going to school in Salem!
Book Fair

We Love Agriculture
Mrs. Nybo's class is getting ready for Farm Field Day on Sept. 27th by learning about agriculture.
I Danced at School Today!
Salem Elementary participates in the GAINS program: Growing Arts In Nebo Schools. Each year a Fine Arts specialist works with the teachers of Salem Elementary to help integrate the arts into the classroom curriculum. This year we have a dance specialist, Melanie Fillmore, working at our school.
Today students got to explore opposites through movement; stop/go, fast/slow, and high/low. Also, teachers got some great ideas to implement in their classrooms.
