Save the Kids Free Parent Education Night Sponsored by Nebo School District


All are invited to the #savethekids free Parent Education Night sponsored by Nebo School District on November 5, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Springville High auditorium at 1205 East 900 South in Springville, Utah.  

Collin Kartchner and Dr. Katey McPherson will lead a discussion on:

- Balancing screen time and device use,

- Protecting and cultivating our children's self worth,

- Devising a sensible famil use of device plan.

Schoolwide Fundraiser

Salem Elementary is having a schoolwide fundraiser to raise money for student Chromebooks, iPads, headphones, and Chromebook charging stations. We will be selling gourmet popcorn from Popcornopolis from October 22nd - November 2nd. Order forms and information will be sent home with students on Monday, October 22nd. Mrs. Larson's fourth grade class loves Firdays when they get to help their kindergarten buddies read and write!

Best Part of Me


Fourth Graders had a great time using their revising, editing, and publising skills to show what they think the best part of them is!

PTO Fun Run

Thank you eveyone who came out for our PTO Fun Run.  We are so proud of all students who participated.

Also, a big thanks to all those who contributed to our raffle and auction baskets.  It was a lot of fun, a huge success, and best of all we were able to earn some money for our school!

2018 Apple Crunch Day


October 17th the Child Nutrition Department will be participating in the 2018 Apple Crunch Day in the Elementary Schools. We are excited to promote our local agriculture! On this day, all students eating school lunch will be offered a farm fresh apple from our local orchards with their lunch! 

What Does a Hero Mean to You?

Salem Elementary Sixth graders wrote and submited essays as part of an essay contest for BYU Sports Hero Day.  The prompt given to students was, "What does a hero mean to you?"

 Iliahi Bezilla and Katelynn Patrick represented our school well with  Iliahi taking first place in the contest for Salem Elementary, and Katelynn taking the grand prize for the entire district!  Way to shine Salem Stars!
