Students at Salem Elementary are thankful for Grandma Dixie.  Grandma Dixie is a foster grandparent who helps out in classrooms at Salem Elementary.

Mrs. Rozema's class finished a social studies unit on the Mesopotamian era inventions with a class debate.  The debate was on which Mesopotamian invention is the most important to today's world.

Each month at Salem Elementary two Super Powers are featured.  This month's Super Powers are capable and responsible.

Third grade got a chance to visit and explore both the Planetarium and Bean Musuem as part of their science unit.

Salem students are collecting yams and pumpkin cans for the local food drive.

Students will be learning how a machine called the Village Drill developed by BYU Capstone Engineering students, is helping families around the world get the clean water they desperately need.
