Salem Elementary, “Night at the Museum”

On the evening of November 17, the hard working 5th graders at Salem Elementary were on station and ready to come to life to present their annual “Night at the Museum” for parents and the community. This culminating activity had started a month and a half earlier, as each fifth grade student chose a famous person from history and then researched so they could do a biographical account on their famous person. They then wrote a report, created and memorized a blurb, made wonderful backdrops, came up with exciting props and then dramatized their famous person, live and in person at the “Salem Elementary Museum of Natural History”. New faces at the museum this year were; Jean Francois Champollion, who decoded the “Rosetta Stone”, portrayed by Taylor Tolbert, another was John Deere, played by Breckdyn Boyer, Naturalist, John Muir played by Logan Johnson and Lt. Roland Wright a WWII, P-51 ace fighter pilot, portrayed by Zackery Prior. Every student made their character very unique and likable and gave the community a fun filled evening of history spanning from ancient to present day. Great Job! Salem Elementary fifth graders.
