The Mt. Loafer/Salem sixth grade orchestra performed their spring concert last week! The students have done a fantastic job this year learning the violin, viola, and cello. It was so fun to perform for their families and friends, and to celebrate how far they’ve come over the past eight months of playing their instruments!
To commemorate the sesquicentennial of the completion of the transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869, at Promontory Summit, Utah, Salem Elementary Fouth Graders visited the Utah State University's and the Utah Division of State History's new exhibit, “A World Transformed: The Transcontinental Railroad and Utah” , at the Utah State Capitol Building.
Last week, the Mt. Loafer/Salem Orchestra joined hundreds of other sixth grade orchestra students in the Nebo School District to perform in the annual Monster Concert! The students performed 11 songs - everything from fiddle tunes to classical pieces to a rock song! They worked so hard to prepare for this performance, and they sounded fantastic!
